Cotutelle agreement

The cotutelle for Doctoral thesis consists in the preparation of a thesis under the joint supervision of a tutor from Cagliari University and one from a foreign university participating in the cotutelle agreement. By the first semester of the second year, an application form must be submitted to the PhD Board and Settore Dottorati e Master. The doctoral student, enrolled at both universities, spends a research period between 6 and 18 months at the partner university. The final examination takes place in one of the two universities and the doctoral student receives a double title recognised by both institutions.
