The first part of the course will introduce the theoretical backgrounds needed to define the concept of conic programming. In the second part the case of conic quadratic and semi-definite programming will be addressed together with some applications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Outline<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From Linear to Conic Programming<\/li>\n<li>Conic Quadratic Programming<\/li>\n<li>The quadratic formulation of the Distance Geometry Problem<\/li>\n<li>Semi-definite Programming<\/li>\n<li>The semi-definite relaxation of the Distance Geometry Problem<\/li>\n<li>Diagonally dominant matrices and positive semi-definite matrices<\/li>\n<li>The ellipsoidal separation problem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Schedule<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The course consists in 10 hours, two lectures per week.
