Graduated in 2014 in the Master’s Degree course in “Developmental and dynamic-relational Psychology”, in 2018 she obtained a PON-RI PhD Scholarship (Research and Industrial Innovation – XXXIII cycle) with which she started the research project called “Study of perception-action cycles in immersive virtual reality environments “. This project aims to analyze and study the perception-action cycles in the context of the Human Computation Interface through a series of experiments in order to create effective immersive virtual reality environments intended for the training/teaching of procedures, and for the characteristics analysis of the users that can influence their effectiveness.
Thanks to the collaborations with INFORA company and to the staff of the Lawrence Technological University in Detroit she worked on the develop of Virtual Kitchen (VK), a modular 3D “virtual laboratory” in which subject’s activities and behaviors can be observed, recorded and measured in order to test the interaction of different categories of variables and their effects on procedural learning, presence and immersion.
She’s also involved in the development of a Virtual Reality “Game with a Purpose” called CICLOPS, a Citizen Science project that target the analysis of deep space signals recorded by radio telescopes using a human computation approach. Ph.D. Thesis

Fabrizia Giulia GARAVAGLIA (Tutor: Prof. Marco Giunti) – A situated approach to consciousness in learning processes
My main research experience is focussed on the field of mind philosophy, epistemology, and philosophy of science. I have been working as a researcher in the PhD program of Cagliari University. I trained and developed my expertise in the optimisation of the notion of consciousness in different ways of learning, neural and cognitive, and their multimodal characterisation to improve their processing, working in collaboration with many colleagues from philosophical, medical and neurophysiological institutions. I explored the notions of identity and action, working in an international research program at Exeter University, particularly in conjunction with extended mind theory and embodied cognition theory. I improved my knowledge in the neural field working in an international research program between three different prolific research realities at Lisbon University, in order to try to connect neural and cognitive learning processes. I focus on a situated and timing-based perspective, exploring synchronic structures of neural activations and their possible meaning and extensions.

Marina PISANO (Tutor: Prof. Pierpaolo Ciccarelli) – Cosa resta dell’uomo. La fenomenologia immanentistica di M. Henry
Marina Pisano received a PhD in Philosophical Disciplines from the University of Cagliari in the academic year 2014-2015. She conducted her research, concerning the problem of the abstract in the philosophy of Giovanni Gentile, also at the Italian Institute of Historical Studies in Naples, of which she was a scholar. She is currently investigating the peculiar ontological condition of man within Michel Henry’s phenomenological reflection, pursuing a second PhD in Philosophy, Epistemology and History of Culture at the University of Cagliari. She has edited a text of unpublished writings by Giovanni Gentile that will be published in the series Inediti e Rari by the publishing house Le Lettere.
